In this episode of the Bathroom Remodeling San Francisco Podcast, we explore what makes a custom tile shower not just beautiful, but truly comfortable to use every day. Custom showers are a key part of many bathroom remodeling projects, and details like bench placement, niche size, tile layout, and showerhead locations all play a role. We talk through how to plan these features so they match your height, habits, and long-term needs rather than just following a photo.

You will hear tips on planning the right shower size, choosing tile installation patterns that look clean and intentional, and deciding where to put plumbing fixtures for easy use and maintenance. We discuss built-in benches for comfort and accessibility, including how big they should be and where they should sit in the shower. We also cover niches and ledges for storing bottles without clutter, plus the importance of good lighting and glass design to show off your tile work.

A custom tile shower is often the centerpiece of a modern bathroom design, and getting the details right can make every shower feel better. In this episode of the Bathroom Remodeling San Francisco Podcast, we explain the hidden but critical step that protects every bathroom remodel: waterproofing. Behind the tile, paint, and fixtures, a good waterproofing system keeps water where it belongs and prevents leaks, rot, and mold. We discuss why tile and grout alone are not waterproof, what areas need special attention, and how proper preparation makes your bathroom renovation last.

You will hear about waterproofing in walk-in showers, around tubs, and under tile floors, including how shower walls, benches, and niches should be treated. We explain why sloping the shower floor correctly, sealing corners, and using the right membranes or boards matters just as much as the visible finishes. We also touch on common problems we see when waterproofing is skipped or done poorly, such as loose tiles, stained ceilings below, or musty smells that show up months after a remodel.

If you are planning a bathroom remodeling project, understanding waterproofing helps you ask better questions and choose a contractor who will not cut corners. When you are ready to remodel, LUV Bathroom Remodeling San Francisco will help you get both the beautiful finishes you see and the reliable waterproofing you do not see.

In this episode of the Bathroom Remodeling San Francisco Podcast, we focus on one of the most used pieces in any bathroom remodel: the vanity. A well-chosen vanity does more than just hold a sink. It affects storage, traffic flow, daily routines, and the overall look of your bathroom renovation. We break down how to choose the right width, depth, and height, and how to match sink style, countertop, and storage features to the way your household actually lives.

You will hear how to decide between a single and double vanity, when a floating vanity makes sense, and what to consider if your bathroom is narrow or shared by multiple people. We talk about drawer versus door storage, organizing everyday items, and planning around plumbing. We also touch on countertop materials, integrated sinks, faucet placement, and how your vanity ties into lighting, mirrors, and tile installation on nearby walls.

Whether you are updating a small powder room or a full primary bathroom remodel, making a smart vanity choice can transform how the space feels and functions.
