  • Episode 10 - When God Allows His Servants to Suffer: A Farewell Conversation with Keith Crosby
    Sep 25 2026

Pastor Keith Crosby has served for almost a decade as pastor of Hillside Church in San Jose. Not long after he became the pastor of Hillside, God allowed him and his family do suffer a tragedy that caused a long period of trial and difficulty. And then after a year or so after COVID, God allowed Pastor Crosby to suffer from a major life-altering physical reaction to treatment that has led to his early retirement from pastoral ministry here in the Bay Area.

In all that he has suffered, God has been faithful. And in spite of the pain that all this has caused, Keith has kept his eyes on Christ and trusted our Triune God. His faith has only grown and become more solidified by God's grace.

Dr. Alan Cross joins us in this episode for a conversation focused on immigration, human dignity, and the church. People share a variety of opinions when it comes to the place that immigrants and sojourners and the misplaced have in our American communities today. But what is the role of church as it relates to these people and these communities? And how ought Christians respond to those who may have migrated into our church communities from other places, particularly other countries.

Dr. Alan Cross is the pastor of Petaluma Valley Baptist Church. He is the Director off Mission with the North Bay Association with the SBC. And he is the author of several books including When Heaven and Earth Collide.

Alan will also be a speaker at the 2026 Bay Area Theology Symposium.

  • Bonus Episode: The Value of Human Life and the Danger of the "Elegant Solution for Suffering"
    Aug 21 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Cameron and Ricky discuss the danger and the unbelievable reality of the new law that has been passed in the state of the New York that allows for Euthanasia. Tucker Carlson calls this the least talked and least publicized issue in American politics today. Kathy Hochul called this termination of human life an "elegant solution to suffering".

Christians believe that God is the author of life. He alone gives and takes away, but what happens when humans, healthcare and politics start playing God when it comes to the ending of a person's life? What are we to believe?

We would love to hear your thoughts and help you process this rising reality in our country and society today.
