  • The Grandparent Survival Challenge: 7 Days Snowed In!

What started as a simple 10-day babysitting adventure quickly turned into a grandparent survival story! 😂

When our son and daughter-in-law left for a dream vacation in New Zealand, Stevie & Deanne happily agreed to watch their 5-year-old granddaughter and almost 2-year-old grandson. The plan was simple: school, daycare, and lots of fun.

Then the weather forecast called for 10 inches of snow.

While we "only" got 6–7 inches, living at the top of a hill meant we were completely snowed in for 7 days! Suddenly, we found ourselves entertaining two energetic grandkids from 6:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night—with no escape route in sight. 😄

Join us as we share the laughs, challenges, creative activities, and unforgettable memories from one of our biggest grandparent adventures yet.

Have you ever been snowed in with your grandkids? We'd love to hear your stories in the comments!

  • Did Your Family Gather Every Week… or Only for Holidays?
    Feb 28 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, Stevie & Deanne share how differently they were raised when it comes to family gatherings. Stevie grew up visiting Grandma and Grandpa every weekend—no special reason needed—just food, fun, and togetherness. Deanne’s family saved get-togethers mostly for holidays and special occasions.

They talk about how those traditions shaped their marriage, how they plan family events now, and the secret to bringing everyone together (hint: favorite foods help!). If you’ve ever wondered why some families gather constantly while others rarely do, this episode will feel very familiar.

Perfect for parents, grandparents, and anyone who loves family stories, laughter, and practical ideas for keeping relatives connected.
