GEM shares her journey from Chicago to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where she now works as a bilingual artist and community mentor in a vibrant creative district. Through murals, music, dance, and youth arts programs, she collaborates with immigrant and newly arrived students, helping them process their stories through visual journaling, rhythm, and expression. Many of these young people have crossed borders, rivers, deserts, and unimaginable challenges.
