Durga Puja, 1975. Inside an aristocratic Bengali household, a family photograph is taken — and within hours, one face vanishes from it forever. Not just from the photograph. From every memory of anyone who should have remembered them. No body, no crime scene — just an absence no one can explain.

Enter Vyom Bagchi, a rationalist occult detective who calls himself a "Tathyanveshi" — a seeker of facts — and his chronicler Sudhanshu, as they step into a mystery unlike anything they've handled before.

As they dig through the house's history and its buried secrets, they uncover a twenty-year-old photograph that was never supposed to resurface — and a growing sense that whatever caused this disappearance is far from finished.

This is Episode 1 of Bhay Originals' Vyom Bagchi two part series — a period detective horror story rooted in Bengali folklore, old-house secrets, and a camera that shouldn't exist. If you're into Hindi horror stories, ghost stories, or a slow-burn occult detective mystery, this one's for you.

In this episode, Vyom and Sudhanshu meet a new character, Bimal — and as the night deepens, Vyom starts to realize that whatever time they have left may not be enough.

Bhay Originals brings you Hindi horror stories, real ghost story–inspired narratives, and horror audio dramas built to be listened to alone, in the dark.

The clock is running out on Dashami.

In the conclusion of The Vanishing Photograph, Vyom Bagchi, the rationalist occult detective who calls himself a "Tathyanveshi," a seeker of facts rather than a guardian, races against the last hours of Durga Puja.

Faces are still disappearing from the Roychoudhury family photograph. Memories are still thinning. And every answer Vyom uncovers raises a harder question about who in this house can truly be trusted.

With his chronicler Sudhanshu at his side, Vyom must piece together a mystery that spans decades, buried inside old negatives, family loyalties, and a festival meant to celebrate togetherness.

Before the goddess is immersed, he has to understand what is really happening inside these walls, and whether those already lost can still be brought back.

This is the gripping final episode of Bhay Originals' Vyom Bagchi series, a period detective horror rooted in Bengali folklore and the quiet terror of being forgotten.

If you love Hindi horror stories, ghost stories in Hindi, suspense thrillers, or a slow-burn occult mystery that rewards close listening, this finale was made for you.

The house has stopped hiding. Now it's just waiting for them to get tired.

Three days. That was the rule, and Shivam and Brajesh are already inside it — cameras running, recorders rolling, gathering proof in a place where proof changes its mind.

By the second morning, the one thing they were counting on has failed them: daylight. Whatever lives in this house has never agreed that night is when it works. Then the house begins to fill.

A couple move through their evening routine in rooms that have stood empty for twenty years, cooking a meal that was finished long before either man was born. An old man who has been waiting decades for someone to finally ask arrives with an answer nobody wants.

And somewhere under all of it, something older than the village is still trying to complete a rite that was interrupted — and it has been looking for a way to finish it ever since. It doesn't hunt with fear. It never has. It comes through the doors we leave open — the people we've lost, the voices we'd know anywhere, the hope we were never able to put down. By the third night, Shivam will be offered exactly what he came for, and he will have to decide what it's worth.

Some things don't kill you. They keep you.

Be warned, Bhay Vasis: the most dangerous thing in that house isn't what wants to hurt you. It's what wants to love you.

Listen alone, with your headphones on, with the lights off — and when it's over, sit through the silence. That's where this one actually ends.

Some doors stay shut for twenty years. Someone always opens them.

Twenty years ago, a bus carried two passengers toward a village called Kaala Kuwaan. Shivam Kumar's brother Vishwas walked down a dirt road into the dark and never walked back out. The police wrote three words on the last page and buried the file.

Shivam has built a career tearing these stories apart. Every Friday, on a channel called Tark, he explains the country's oldest fears into nothing. But the file that finally reaches his desk doesn't read like the others — a bus register that counted one passenger too many, a witness who saw a wedding that never happened, a line scrawled in the margin that nobody signed for, and a forensic note describing footprints leaving a house walking backward, or being pulled.

Now Shivam and his cameraman Brajesh are driving toward a village that appears on no map, that no shopkeeper will admit exists, and that every family in the district has quietly fed. An old woman gives them the only rule that matters: three days. You come back incomplete, or you don't come back.In the dark, everything sounds like proof. That is exactly the problem.

Be warned, Bhay Vasis: some houses don't need to make a sound to be heard. They only need you to stop talking.

Listen to this chapter alone, with your headphones on, with the lights off — but if the breathing you hear does not match your own, do not check the room. Just keep listening.

The ground has swallowed them whole. But the true nightmare is what waits at the bottom.

The Lalpadi Rajbari has finally shattered, plunging Commandant Kabir and the remnants of T.A.N.T.R.A. into a suffocating, subterranean abyss.

What started as a classified military operation has violently mutated into a desperate, claustrophobic fight for survival. Cut off from the surface and surrounded by pitch-black darkness, Alpha Team discovers that the terrifying legends of Birbhum barely scratched the surface of the truth.

Deep within the bowels of the earth, where the walls pulse with unnatural life and the air reeks of ancient rot, a horrifying realization dawns upon the squad. They are no longer the hunters; they have been fed to a cosmic abomination. As the colossal Makar-Suhagan descends from the shadows and a devastating conspiracy threatens to stay buried forever, Kabir is forced to make a catastrophic choice.

How much of your own humanity are you willing to burn to stop hell from spilling over? In this apocalyptic finale, the line between man, monster, and weapon is erased completely.

Be warned, Bhay Vasis: True fear does not live in the stories; it lives in the silence that follows.

Listen closely to this terrifying chapter of the Bhay Originals universe, but remember... if you feel a sudden chill in your room, do not take off your headphones.

The shadows are breathing. The walls of Lalpadi Rajbari are holding a secret far darker than death itself. And the nightmare waiting in the quiet is about to break its silence.

With the eerie discoveries inside the Rajbari raising more questions than answers, Commandant Kabir and Alpha Team push deeper into the decaying estate. But as the dark history of Dr. Roy’s research unravels, a suffocating realization sets in—T.A.N.T.R.A. isn't alone in this abandoned village.

High-stakes military precision collides with an ancient, unseen terror lurking in the high ceilings and hollowed walls. Signals decay, static fills the radio channels, and an unsettling presence begins closing the perimeter from all sides. In a place where every shadow has eyes, one wrong step could trigger a trap decades in the making.

As crossfire erupts in the pitch-black darkness and the very ground begins to tremble, Kabir and Subedar Tariq are forced into an absolute fight for survival. Will T.A.N.T.R.A. force the dark truth into the light... or will they become another forgotten echo inside these walls?

Be warned, Bhay Vasis: True fear does not live in the stories; it lives in the silence that follows.

The rain shows no mercy. The road into Birbhum has vanished into the dark. And the truth waiting at the end of the line is far more sinister than the storm.

With two years of silence finally broken, Commandant Kabir leads Team Alpha straight into the heart of the nightmare. Driven by classified Intel and the lingering shadows of Patal Lok, Kabir begins pulling at the fraying threads of the investigation, stepping into a silent, abandoned village where time itself seems to have choked and died.

Inside rain-drenched walls and suffocating shadows, disturbing evidence begins to surface—unsettling anatomical sketches, locked cellars, reel canisters wrapped in tape, and the lingering echoes of human cruelty.

As Kabir forces the dark truth into the light, the boundary between real-world madness and ancient, cosmic forces begins to shatter. But in a place where an entire village has already vanished into the void... who will become the next to be consumed?

Be warned, Bhay Vasis: True fear does not live in the stories; it lives in the silence that follows.
