Usher Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Usher has had a notably busy few days, with his long term legacy, touring profile, and public image all in the spotlight. The biggest verified development came from his sold out R and B Tour with Chris Brown. According to TMZ and other outlets, Kanye West made a surprise appearance at the pair’s SoFi Stadium concert in Los Angeles on September 25, performing Runaway, All of the Lights, Flashing Lights, and Can’t Tell Me Nothing. The appearance added an unexpected hip hop moment to Usher’s already high profile six month tour, which runs through December 12. Usher’s next major stop is also generating attention. KFOX TV reports that his October 3 concert with Chris Brown at the University of Texas at El Paso’s Sun Bowl is expected to be one of the final major stadium concerts of 2026. Campus parking closures began September 27 as production equipment arrived, underscoring the scale of the event. In Las Vegas, Usher intensified the conversation about his place in music history by appearing onstage with a diamond encrusted crown bearing a U, then sitting on a throne during Confessions Part Two. Foxy 99 reported that social media reaction was immediate, with fans debating his claim to the title King of R and B. The Source reported that Chris Brown responded on social media by calling himself the king after Usher’s theatrical gesture. These moments are verified as concert imagery and online reactions, but any supposed rivalry between the singers remains unconfirmed. Another potentially significant development involves Usher’s touring operation. Rolling Stone reported that Kristina Khorram, Sean Combs’ former chief of staff, and two other former Combs employees are now working with Usher’s camp. TMZ and EURweb also reported the connection, while noting that Khorram’s exact role and how the hires occurred remain unclear. Aubrey O’Day criticized the development in posts on X. At this stage, the employment reports are attributed to published reporting, but broader speculation about Usher’s relationship to Combs’ legal troubles is not established by the available evidence. Earlier this month, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas unveiled a new Usher wax figure, further formalizing his association with the city after his successful residency. That attraction now sits alongside his stadium tour as another marker of his commercial and cultural staying power. Thanks for listening.
