Pastor Aaron finishes up the second chapter of James with a lesson on faith and works done by faith. Pastor Aaron walks us along the fine line of faith in Jesus as a relationship and works without faith as a relationship in Jesus. Paul talks about works that seem religious but do not have faith. James talks about faith as a relationship with Jesus that is dead without works.

Pastor Aaron continues our study of James with a hard hitting passage from chapter 2. James shows us how we must not show partiality or prejudice with our faith. We see how, if we do show partiality, it cheapens and weakens our faith and relationship in and with Christ.

We walk together through the final third of the first chapter of James today. There are some hard things to hear this week. We learn that we must be slow to anger, because anger does not bring the righteousness of God. We must cast off all filthiness and rampant wickedness in order to receive the meekness of the Word of God in our hearts, which saves our souls.
