Saeris learns the sword she'd shattered was actually a treasured Fae heirloom and former godsword, which only adds to her growing sense of doom. In an attempt to help Saeris out, Lorreth accompanies her to the tavern where they blow off steam and get to know each other better. Later on, Saeris and Kingfisher take their relationship to the next level with a visit to Fisher's hometown of Ballard. Things get steamy and Saeris gets more magical tattoos which DEFINITELY got us calling out MATE WATCH. Upon returning to Irrin, Saeris successfully figures out how to get the quicksilver to cooperate, with some help from Carrion, allowing her to reforge the sword as an active godsword with a new owner. Unfortunately, dinner is interrupted by a feeder attack that leaves Saeris poisoned and waking up in Kingfisher's bed — only to discover he used the blood oath to command her recovery. Later on, Saeris and Carrion get a glimpse of the Irrin war camp where Saeris continues her attempts to forge new relics. Though her experiments are unsuccessful, Saeris unlocks a new skill with her alchemy when she shatters Danya's sword to save Kingfisher from a heated argument. The tension ramps up both on the battlefield and in the bedroom for this week, so join us for all the juicy details!
