• 30: How to talk to your kids when big, heavy shit is happening (and how to take action that matters)
    Jan 27 2026

Okay friends, real talk. The world feels heavy right now. Like really heavy. And if you're a mom trying to figure out what the hell to say to your kids about what's happening with ICE, immigration, the current US administration, and honestly just... everything... while also trying to run your business and keep your own nervous system from completely short-circuiting—I see you.

I’m right there with you, and this episode is for you.

We're talking about how to have these conversations with your kids in age-appropriate ways (because what you say to a 4-year-old is VERY different from what you say to a 13-year-old), how to show up and take actual action even when your capacity feels maxed out, and how to keep running your business when everything feels like it's falling apart.

Because here's the thing: burying our heads in the sand isn't the vibe. But neither is doom-scrolling until 2am while your nervous system completely dysregulates. There's a middle ground, and we're gonna find it together.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • The ONE thing your kids need from you more than information (hint: it has to do with your nervous system)
    • How to talk to kids ages 3-18 about heavy world events without traumatizing them OR lying to them
    • Why teaching critical thinking skills to your kids right now might be the most important thing you do
    • The low, medium, and high-risk ways you can take action—even if you only have $5 and 10 minutes
    • How to keep your business running when you don't have the privilege to just pause everything
    • What to do when you're rebuilding your life AND trying to show up for the world (because yes, you can do both)

  • 29: The realities of being called to both stay at home motherhood AND running a business
    Oct 16 2024

One of the realities about being called to both of these is that our capacity (both mentally and actual time) is often very limited.

And I’m no different! Especially in this season of single motherhood.

So there’s no fancy show notes written, and I didn’t get this up as quickly as I’d have liked.

But I’m walking my talk. And done is better than perfect. ;)

This conversation has been coming up a lot with clients and friends recently, so let’s talk about the realities of being called to both present motherhood AND running a business!

I hope you’ll join in the conversation in the FB group (link below!), but at the very least, I hope to normalize some of this real life stuff for you!

And as a thank you for your time, I'll be giving away a $10 gift card of your choice to someone who listens to the replay (in the group or on the podcast…I know y’all are busy mamas!) and leaves a comment on the post in the group to participate in the conversation here: https://www.facebook.com/kim.difillippo1/videos/1969806670107384

  • 28: The narratives about motherhood and being a woman that are keeping us stuck, and what to do about them
    Oct 4 2024

You crave rest, time freedom, spaciousness, and to be able to actually do things you want to do. (Both with your kids and without.) After all, doesn’t it seem like that’s what you’re supposed to get when you run your own business?!

But in reality, you never take that time. Or if you do, you feel so horribly guilty or even shameful that you don’t enjoy it and rarely do it again. Especially if your kids are home! WTF is up with that?!

This is a conversation I’ve been seeing come up with clients and friends in the last week, and I think we need to talk about it! Because I believe that we all deserve that spaciousness, presence, rest, and freedom, and that it’s totally possible. But unfortunately it’s harder than it sounds to get, and I’ll explain why.

That’s why I went live in my free private Facebook group, Both/And Mamas, to talk about the narratives about motherhood and being a woman that are keeping us stuck, and what to do about them.

I’ll be diving into 4 of the deeply ingrained narratives about motherhood and being a woman that I see affecting so many of us, where they come from, and what to do about them so that you can start building safety in rest, spaciousness, and time for yourself.

And as a thank you, I'll be giving away a $10 gift card of your choice to someone who joins me live or catches the replay (in the group or on the podcast…I know y’all are busy mamas!) and leaves a comment on the post in the group to participate in the conversation by Wednesday Oct. 9, 2024. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and experiences on this one!

  • 27: The shift in the online space and how to bounce back from lost revenue
    Sep 20 2024

If you’ve had clients leave, felt like selling seemed to get harder, and/or noticed a significant revenue drop in the last year, you’re not alone. (But so many of you feel like you are!)

This is something I’m seeing and hearing come up A LOT this year with clients, peers, and even mentors from coaching to done-for-you services like VA/OBM and podcast management. So let’s talk about it!

That’s why I went live this week in my free private Facebook group, Both/And Mamas, to talk about the shift in the online space and how to bounce back from lost revenue.

I shared insights about conversations I’ve been having with clients and peers from many different business models, what I’ve seen in my own businesses, and what you can do about it to get back on track now and build your business moving forward in a way that can weather future ebbs and flows.

And as a thank you, I'll be giving away a $10 gift card to someone who joined me or catches the replay (in the group or on the podcast…I know y’all are busy mamas!) and leaves a comment on the post in the group to participate in the conversation by Wed Sept. 25th--> https://www.facebook.com/1859557217884773/videos/1050681666292071

I hope to see you there!

  • 26: A vulnerable BTS of my starting over journey in life and business
    Sep 17 2024

In the last episode I talked about how I built my first business, left my career in medicine, and built it up to a podcast agency with a team of 11 making consistent $25k+ months in revenue.

AND I shared on an IG story recently that I’ve currently got 5 part time gigs going on to add up to one full time income, including my podcast business. I’ve shared publicly that my first business is down to just me again with a small handful of podcast clients, I have this coaching business as well, and that I’ve been a single mom for the last year and a half.

    Both are true.

So you may be wondering what happened. Why I need all those part time gigs to make one full time income when my business was making $25k+ months. Why I’m not running the podcast agency anymore.

So last week I went live in my FB group, Both/And Mamas, to break it down for you (and I’m bringing you the replay via your podcast player!) with a super vulnerable BTS (behind the scenes) look at the transition including the whys, the why nots, and the lessons I’ve learned from this journey. 💙

TW: DV/emotional abuse/verbal abuse/financial abuse mostly (I mention nothing at all graphic, but putting this out there so you can decide if it feels right for you to listen or not in this moment, or to take care of yourself as you do if you need it.)

And as a thank you, I'll be giving away a $10 gift card to someone who joined me or catches the replay (in the group or on the podcast…I know y’all are busy mamas!) and leaves a comment on the post in the group to participate in the conversation by Wed Sept. 25th--> https://www.facebook.com/kim.difillippo1/videos/3799064613700483/

  • 25: How I built what became a multi-six figure podcast agency while working full time and momming
    Sep 17 2024

If you’re working on growing your business so you can leave a job that keeps you away from home and have more freedom to be home full time with your little(s)—especially if you have to work full time in that job to pay the bills or because there is no part time option in your current career—this one’s for you, babe.

I’ve been there and in this episode I’m sharing my story of how and why I built my first business while working full time as a Physician Assistant and being a mama to a 2 and 4 year old (and the sole income earner in my family), and how I planned for and executed the transition out of my medical career and into “full time” (part time hours) entrepreneurship.

I’m not going to claim it’s easy, but it IS doable, and in my experience, well worth it. 💖

And as a thank you, I'll be giving away a $10 gift card to someone who joined me or catches the replay (in the group or on the podcast…I know y’all are busy mamas!) and leaves a comment on the post in the group to participate in the conversation by Wed Sept. 25th--> https://www.facebook.com/kim.difillippo1/videos/2414944605563324/

  • 24: My Favorite Time Management and Planning Tips for Entrepreneur Mamas
    Sep 17 2024

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the last 6 years as a mom and entrepreneur dedicated to working in part time hours is that planning ahead for what you need and want to get done in your business (and life!) is so so helpful if you want to make the most of the time you do have to work towards your goals.

    AND.

I also have learned that if you try to map out every minute of every day and have it on such a tight schedule that if it doesn’t get done when you plan to, shit falls apart pretty quickly when kids are in the mix. 🤪

That’s why I’m bringing you this episode to break down my favorite tips and the tools—including the exact ones I use!—for doing this in a balanced way that allows you to be intentional with your time, make progress towards your goals, decrease the mental load you’re carrying, AND leave room for presence with your family, schedule and capacity changes, and for life to life. 💙

    Aug 26 2024

It's been a hot minute since my last episode as single mama summer summered this year, ;) but school starts back up tomorrow and I'm BACK! In this episode, I'm sharing what we’ve been up to this summer and a big new change in how I show up online and share value (as well as market) for my business. And I'm breaking down what that looks like, what it means for the podcast, and why I'm making the switch. I'm so pumped to be back with you (and getting back into the school routine!)
