I read and discuss four passages from the Malazan Book of the Fallen - three from Toll the Hounds and one from The Crippled God. I discuss how I thought the scenes were various effective, evocative, and funny all while being extremely short :)

I read and discuss a passages from The Curse of The Mistwraith - the first book of The Wars of Light and Shadow series by Janny Wurts. The passage tells the story of an 18000 year old story. I also go into some rambling about info dumps and "lived-in" feeling worlds.
