    Oct 8 2025

Welcome to Episode 337 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

The Geeks are back, talking about all the things you need to know and wanted to ask yourself but didn't. We start with the new Spidey movie coming out next year. Word on the street-level is that Punisher will be in it, as well as Hulk and Scorpion. Will Hulk remember Peter, but not Banner? How will it all go down? We also talk about Freaky Tales, the newest season of Wednesday and then Weapons. Matt Orrin highly recommends it and gives a little breakdown of what its about. Have you seen it yet?

Welcome to Episode 336 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

After a seemingly short BLIP, the Geeks are back and ready to share opinions on your favorite content! We start off talking about the new Fantastic Four movie, which some of us thought was "Not-so" fantastic. Well, to be fair, Mitch had an unpleasant theater experience which possibly soured his movie opinion. The movie had a bunch of redeeming qualities, and was good but had some issues. We then switch universes to the first cinematic entry into the new DCU, Superman. The movie was great and we don't give up too much but we talk about some of the finer points of the movie. Mitch talks about his love of the Naked Gun movies, which includes the newest installment and Jake gives us another "Beckomendation" that we'll probably sit on for 2 years, Freaky Tales. Watch it and tell us what you think about it!

    Mar 12 2025

Welcome to Episode 335 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

Our outies are talking about our innies with Severance still dominating the conversation, as we approach the end of the second season. More and more revelations even though we're still trying to put pieces together to the puzzle. Is Lumon just an ether based cult? I guess we'll just keep watching to find out. Matt O plans to drive a fast sports car, and we also have a few episodes of Daredevil that dropped and we give some spoilers, including about the death of a beloved character. Then we talk about Danny McBride and some of his finest roles. What's your favorite?

Welcome to Episode 334 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

Severance is still on our minds, and it dominates this episode. We got through some more theories about MDR and what they are doing, as well as some of the higher ups at Lumon. As a result, we end up talking about Primate Protocol, whether we would each get Severed, and the Arquettes. Find out which is our favorite of the low budget Baldwins. Oh yeah, Marvel still has a future and we talk about that with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

    Feb 28 2025

Welcome to Episode 333 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

It's happened. Mitch Jones has drank the Kool-Aid, avoided the CliffsNotes, and officially watched Severance. Theories abound over what they are doing at Lumon Industries and everyone's role in it. After some deep innie/outie discussion, and casting ideas such as Matt Berry as Ricken, we talk about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman which is a new animated series on Disney+. It has a cool, comic book-y style to it and is an alternate MCU offering. Jake gives some hot takes, and then we talk about how Paul Reubens and Jeremy Allen White look alike.

We're trying to keep up with the Joenes on this epsiode, as Mitch almost didn't make it after a precarious incident! Fortunately, he makes it and lets us know that he is still avoiding Severance. Jake tries to tell us why we shouldn't be sleeping on the show. We talk about the new Spidey animated series and how it differs from previous iterations of the web slinger. Harley is back, and fun as usual. Oh, and Mitch talks about American Dad.

Are you a fan of Hot Pockets? Mitch tells us about new Hot Pocket technology, though there is an edit at the part! We talk Creature Commandos, a super cool cameo, and implications on the larger DCU. The new Sonic movie gets some air time, as well as thoughts on a live action Jetsons movie. Who would YOU want to play Mr. Spacely?

    Jan 1 2025

Welcome to Episode 330 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake & Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek.

The (AI) Geeks are back with a banger of an episode. We talk about Hundreds of Beavers, almost as if we had already done this on a previous episode that maybe got lost in the ether. This movie is wildly different than any of its contemporaries but is reminiscent of movies from olden times. The editing alone should get any film students excited. Jake expresses concerns over DC's future because of Creature Commandos, while Mitch gushes over it. We ALL agree that the new Superman trailer looks super. We discuss shows on Apple TV enough that we feel Mitch might become a subscriber. Will Mitch watch shows that we all watch, or will he continue to watch American Dad? Stay tuned to find out!
