  • S2 Ep 7: Harvesting New Passions with Leroy Metcalf
    Oct 7 2025

Hi Company Movers! Excited to bring this fun conversation to you today. Leroy grew up in Detroit, joined the military, worked in health care, moved to 8 different states, somehow found himself in production, had to go back to healthcare and now finds himself in vinter school in Walla Walla Washington. Less than 1% of winemakers in the US are Black and he is on track to join their ranks.

On the podcast business side for us: This will be our last episode for a while! Robyn and I are both finding ourselves stretched thin, and since leaving Meta, we just haven't found great ways to market ourselves yet (nor had the time.) We're not going away forever, but we need to regroup and come up with a better plan for the future! We have some great conversations recorded that need to be heard still!

Thank you to those of you who have been loyal listeners. You are so loved and appreciated. (And if you have ideas on how to get this heard by more ears, reach out!)

  • S2 Ep 1: There's Life After Wrap with Chris Friebus
    Aug 5 2025

We're back bay-beee! Robyn and I have been recording and editing this season since February! (with lots of detours which we will most certainly talk about throughout) We're kicking off this season with former 2nd AC Chris Friebus! Enjoy! (and share with your friends, rate and review!!)

Chris Friebus grew up fascinated by how movies and television shows were made, hoping to one day work on them as an actor. He received a degree in acting from CAl State Fullerton, but Instead he found himself with a 22 year career as a camera assistant.

A serious injury followed quickly by a pandemic put an end to his career in motion pictures.

Chris pivoted to a 2nd career with the Walt Disney Company, where for the last 5 years had been a lead, trainer, and photographer for the Disneyland Resorts.

Despite knowing how the sausage gets made, Chris is still obsessed with consuming movies and television. He also hosts the Blahcade Pinball Podcast, talking at know-it-all length about his other favorite hobby. Search it out on YouTube or visit http://blahcadepinball.com

You can find Chris on Instagram @shutyertraps
