  • The Return of General Moses
    Jan 8 2026
The origin story of Adam J. Carswell's artist persona General Moses. In 2021, Adam was streaming on Twitch building community. The show was called The Shift. The audience called themselves The Shift Army. They pushed him to get a stage name. When your audience is an army, you become the General. He chose Moses because Moses didn't come to save the world. He came to deliver his people. In 2023, the studio records started dropping. First one was "More Dollaz" with Toolroom. Since then it's been nonstop: "Muévete," "Nicki," "Call Me Daddy," "Belize," "Wind Up," "Watch Me," "Missile." Tech house. Funky house. Latin house. The General's been in the cut. Just a few weeks ago, Carswell Cuts launched. Custom anthems for entrepreneurs, founders, capital raisers. Immediate traction. Now both lanes are running. But heads up: expect less activity for a bit. Adam is taking everything he learned building AI-powered anthems and channeling it into something he never thought was possible. A full General Moses album. DM Adam or General Moses if you want your own Carswell Cut. Follow General Moses on Spotify. Check out Sigma Squad for the kids. Run the road.

  • Enoughness (Monday Morning)

    Enoughness (Monday Morning)
Inspired by Chris Williamson's 3 Minute Monday

This Carswell Cut was born from a Monday morning email. Chris Williamson's newsletter dropped a truth bomb about the "Curse of Competence" - that nagging feeling high performers have where victory isn't celebration-worthy, it's just the minimum acceptable outcome.

Twenty One Pilots' "Chlorine" was the sonic reference: brooding, hypnotic, synth-heavy atmosphere with introspective lyrics that hit different.

    LYRICS

    [Carswell Cuts Stinger]
    [spoken, confident] Carswell Cuts.

    [Verse 1]
    Monday morning, inbox ping
Chris Williamson got me questioning everything
He said success gotta be earned through the pain
But what if that belief is driving us insane?
High standards, high pressure, minimum acceptable
Victory ain't victory, it's just respectable
Anything less is failure, wins don't register
I'm chasing ghosts while life becomes a blur

    [Pre-Chorus]
    You didn't choose this wiring
    Your ancestors were never tiring
    Obsessive overachievers in your blood
Now you're drowning in the flood

    [Chorus]
    Enoughness, where you at?
    I keep winning but I can't relax
Brain don't care if I'm feeling good
    Only cares that I'm misunderstood
    Enoughness, what's the cure?
Success is hollow, that's for sure
Made it to breakfast, that's a win
Tomorrow I'll start it all again

    [Verse 2]
Three AM, still grinding at the desk
Tell myself I'll rest when I'm the best
But the goalpost moves every single time
Reached the mountain, now I gotta climb
Your brain just wants you accumulating
    Money, status, never celebrating
    Hijacked system, notifications calling
Built to keep you rising, built to keep you falling

    [Pre-Chorus]
    There are no solutions
    Only tradeoffs and delusions
Can't be driven then switch it off
The blessing and the curse you got

    [Chorus]
    Enoughness, where you at?
    I keep winning but I can't relax
Brain don't care if I'm feeling good
    Only cares that I'm misunderstood
    Enoughness, what's the cure?
Success is hollow, that's for sure
Made it to breakfast, that's a win
Tomorrow I'll start it all again

    [Bridge]
    [reflective, slower]
Born into a world you didn't choose
With a mind that's wired up to lose
Games designed to steal your peace
    Twenty-four-seven, never cease
I'm impressed you made it here
Still standing after all these years
    Give yourself some credit now
    You survived somehow

    [Chorus]
    Enoughness, where you at?
    I keep winning but I can't relax
Brain don't care if I'm feeling good
    Only cares that I'm misunderstood
    Enoughness, what's the cure?
Success is hollow, that's for sure
Made it to breakfast, that's a win
Tomorrow I'll start it all again

    [Outro]
    [fade, whispered]
Made it to breakfast... that's a win...
Made it to breakfast... that's a win...

    [General Moses Stinger]
[spoken, smooth] General Moses. Run the road.

    Run the road, General.
