  • Coming-of-Screen With...Kirk Jones
    Apr 27 2026

This interview is with Kirk Jones, the filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer of ‘I Swear’, an onscreen retelling of John Davidson’s real-life journey to navigate Tourette’s syndrome. In the film, audiences are introduced to John as a child, thriving in soccer and excited to start grade school. Yet, at an early age, John is diagnosed with Tourette’s, and that changes his whole trajectory from then on. His constant swearing and ticks were met with ignorance many times, but the support he receives from Dottie, a woman battling cancer, helps him break barriers.

In my conversation with Kirk, you’ll learn more about how the director got John Davidson to sign off on the biopic and how ‘I Swear’ portrays the reality of living with Tourette’s, while also finding moments of laughter and levity.

    Apr 17 2026

This interview is with Chandler Levack, the director behind ‘Mile End Kicks’ and ‘Roommates’, both of which are premiering today. As for ‘Roommates’, which is available to watch on Netflix worldwide, it is a coming-of-age comedy about two college students whose friendship is tested after they share a dorm room.

In this conversation with Chandler, you’ll learn more about her passion for coming-of-age films, the playlist she created for Barbie Ferreira on the set of ‘Mile End Kicks’, how Adam Sandler got a hold of her to direct ‘Roommates’, and the lasting memories she has from the making of both films.

  • Coming-of-Screen With...Daniel Goldhaber and Isa Mazzei
    Apr 10 2026

This interview is with Daniel Goldhaber and Isa Mazzei, the filmmakers behind the latest remake of ‘Faces of Death’. The film offers a clever take on the 1978 horror film, focusing on Margot, a woman working in a content moderation firm who is struck by a series of videos of gruesome deaths on the internet. When no one in her workplace seems to care about the videos, Margot decides to take matters into her own hands and hunt the serial killer down.

In this conversation with Daniel and Isa, you’ll learn more about what prompted the duo to reimagine a classic horror film for the digital era, how the film speaks to our society’s obsession with graphic content online, what filmmaking legacy means to them in this day and age, and a full deep dive into ‘Faces of Death’ final scene.
