Every state has their own idea of how to do "church." Guess what? They are right! When someone says that it takes a special person to preach in *insert state*, they are all right.        What is religious doubt? Have you ever wondered if the things you have always believed are real? Whether doubting God's goodness because of a death in the family or doubting if Jesus was who He said He was, we all have experienced doubt. The church should be the safest place to wrestle with doubts. Instead, the perception is either to pray more or have more faith. Maybe your church did not discourage doubts, but it did not encourage them. Os Guinness writes,…a healthy understanding of doubt should go hand in hand with a healthy understanding of faith.” The first step in understanding doubt is being honest about that doubt. Praying may be the first step, but it is not the only step. Action has to follow when dealing with doubt. Our doubt has the chance to strengthen our relationship with Christ.
