Podcast description draft

Welcome to Cosmic Design: Funky Spaces & Galactic Places, where host Mary E blasts past blueprints and into the final frontier of design. Each episode, we imagine how humans might live, work, play, and create in space—from zero‑gravity furniture and orbital homes to cosmic fashion, alien architecture, and speculative cities among the stars.

Blending design thinking, sci‑fi world‑building, and real space science, Mary E invites designers, artists, architects, and space nerds to sketch out bold futures for life off‑planet. Think of it as your audio sketchbook for outrageous ideas that just might shape tomorrow’s galaxies—no spacesuit required.

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

Welcome to the very first episode of Cosmic Design: Funky Spaces & Galactic Places—your launchpad into the design of life beyond Earth. In this premiere, host Mary E introduces the show’s big questions: how might we design homes, cities, and everyday experiences in space, and what can we learn from science fiction, architecture, and actual space habitats here on Earth.

Mary E walks you through the vision of the podcast, shares some of her favorite “cosmic” design moments, and sets the tone for a series that’s equal parts playful, speculative, and grounded in real design thinking. Whether you’re a designer, a space enthusiast, or just curious about the future of living places, this episode is your first step into funky spaces and galactic places.
