  • Hannah and Nemo Make Moving Mosaics That Move Lives
    Jan 6 2024

ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A QUIRKY COUPLE WHO BOTH WENT TO ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL…

After spending years as cad-monkeys and staring at spreadsheets, we realized we had been duped by our design educations. Feeling let down by the corporate world and lack of opportunities for creativity, we left to pursue our dream of living slow and tiny.

For a decade we lived in our camper van while traveling state to state on the art festival circuit. We met folks from all walks of life, and spent many a night in parking lots and back country roads. We developed our aluminum can moving mosaics into carefully handcrafted transformations representing our progressive values and desire for effortless earth stewardship.

We have poured our creative hearts into being authentic, engaging, and entertaining social media content creators working with @TikTokForGood, @BallAluminumCup, and @DrinkSpindrift to inspire people to view waste as a resource while reminding them to treat the planet and everyone on it with dignity and respect.

More than anything, we want everything we create, but especially our moving mosaics, to help you slow down, take a deep breath, and notice the little things in life, so that you will feel less distracted by the troubles of our world, and more inspired to treat yourself and the earth well.

  • Lindsay Chilcott Explores the World of Multimedia Art, Sustainably
    Dec 16 2023

Lindsay-Ann Chilcott is a multimedia artist and environmental activist living and working in Niagara Falls, Canada. Specializing in pop-surrealistic sculpture, Chilcott utilizes electrical wires and other discarded matter to explore the themes of consumerism, communication, capitalism, and the relationship between the physical and virtual worlds. She continues to explore how artists can develop ways of mitigating society’s consumption levels, while seeking ways to influence the contemporary discourse on upcycling. Through this, she confronts Earth’s pollution crisis.

Chilcott has exhibited internationally, including shows at Viridian Artists and the Salmagundi Club in New York City, New York, and the ARC Gallery in Chicago, Illinois. She has been included in solo exhibitions at the MIWSFPA Gallery in St. Catharines, Canada, and On Task Studio in Toronto, Canada. Her work has been featured in several publications, including The Working Artist magazine, and Digital America. In 2023, Chilcott received the People's Choice Award, at Impact: 2023, exhibited at the Neilson Park Creatives Centre, in Toronto, Canada. This year, she will be a studio resident at the Niagara Falls Exchange, in Niagara Falls, Canada. Upcoming shows include A Taste for Art, an International Juried Exhibition at the Sacramento Fine Arts Centre in Carmichael, California, and the 126th Annual Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club Open Juried Exhibition, at the Salmagundi Club, in New York City, New York.
