There, he secured honorary memberships and automatic life insurance policies for everyone in his entourage. Though an expected meeting with FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover never happened, the group was given a private tour of FBI headquarters the following day—another badge added to Elvis’s ever-growing collection and his ongoing fascination with law enforcement.
