The Broncos showed tremendous resilience against Los Angeles, especially when the game was on the line. After falling behind 17–10 in the third quarter, Denver's defense produced one crucial play after another, giving the offense opportunities to get back into the game and take the lead.

But the victory wasn't perfect. Denver struggled to sustain drives for much of the afternoon, and the offense will need more consistency if the Broncos want to compete with the NFL's best teams.

    Sep 15 2026

    HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!

The Denver Broncos opened the 2026 NFL season with a brutal 31-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs — and now there are A LOT of questions surrounding Sean Payton's team.

After reaching the AFC Championship Game last season, expectations were sky-high in Denver. Instead, the Broncos were dominated on Monday Night Football as Kansas City controlled the game from start to finish.

The Broncos managed just 176 total yards, while the Chiefs ran for 220 yards. Bo Nix finished with 131 passing yards, one touchdown and an interception while taking four sacks. Meanwhile, Kansas City's Kenneth Walker III exploded for 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns in his Chiefs debut.

    So... HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

Was this simply a terrible matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs?

Is Bo Nix actually ready to take the next step?

Should Sean Payton reconsider the offensive play-calling?

    What happened to Denver's defense?

And most importantly — should Broncos Country be concerned after just one game?
