Being a new mom can be all kinds of emotions!! Then factor in any past trauma that stirs up pre determined biases such as todays topic "Breastfeeding". In 2006 I delivered my first child and remember not even considering breastfeeding for a few reasons, one being that I was afraid it was bad given my history of childhood abuse. It wasn't until my big sister who is our guest this week, a Registered Nurse, Child Birth Educator, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant educated me to why I might want to reconsider.
