The book of Revelation has gotten a bad reputation as a book that produces dread and nightmares.  Understandably so when it has things las the seven last plagues.

Yet what if these plagues and everything in the book (and the rest of Bible prophecy for that matter) was designed to remove our fears?  To restore trust?  To awaken love?

Prophecy, specifically in the book of Revelation, mentions the twelve tribes of Israel as having a key role to play in the end of the world.  It also offers a unique invitation, to become pat of their lineage and inheritance.  Antisemitism throughout the centuries have prejudiced many, particularly Christians, into rejecting anything connected to Judaism.  If it’s Jewish reject it.

Yet Bible prophecy seems to go in a very different direction.

Let’s place our preconceived ideas aside for a few moments and consider what prophecy says about the Jews and the rest of the world.

To be clear, the Bible unequivocally teaches that a place and experience call hell is real.

What is not clear for many is what hell actually is for.  

If it’s to punish the wicked with eternal tortures of fire … then one must wonder about the justice of that.

If there is no punishment of the wicked with the experience of hell … then one must wonder about the justice of that. 

We can’t have it both ways … but which way is the most just, correct, ethical, moral?

How does prophecy present this experience called hell?  Who gets to go there?  For how long?

We may peer deeper and deeper into space, but not beyond the grave.  Science has not been able to develop a reliable and verifiable instrumentation to see what, if anything, is beyond the experience we call death.

Many world religions teach that there is something beyond death, but what? 

Prophecy offers a compelling view of what the death experience actually is, so that whatever lies beyond it makes sense and we can have a reference to understand it better.

The book of Revelation speaks of divine records kept of every human being.  Detailed accounts of our lives as they’ve played out over the years of our existence. 

Why? 

What are these record for?  Is heaven like a divine Communist North Korea, and God a supreme dictator?  What in the world are these human records for?

The same book explicitly mentions another book - the Book of Life!  Whatever this book is about, it sounds like a volume you and I would want to have our names, our lives, written in this one.  If that were possible, how can it happen?  These are more questions get explored in this episode.
