Why Minister to the Human Spirit: Brokenness, Renewal, and Pre-Adamic Trauma!

Dan argues that ministering to the human spirit is biblically necessary. He challenges the view that the spirit is automatically perfected at salvation, citing 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and 2 Corinthians 7:1 to show that the spirit can require cleansing and sanctification.

He teaches that while the Holy Spirit indwells a protected core of the spirit at salvation, other areas may still carry wounds or defilement. Scripture, he says, shows the spirit can be broken, overwhelmed, deceitful, or in need of renewal (Psalm 51:10, 17; Proverbs 18:14).

Duval also connects Jeremiah 1:5 to the idea of pre-earth existence, suggesting that pre-Adamic trauma can affect the human spirit. He maintains that targeted ministry to the spirit brings deep healing and transformation
