  • Episode 11 - Beowulf Part 1
    Feb 15 2026

Hello listeners! This episode we are going BIG with an epic tale from 1000 years ago. He's strong, he's brave, he's Swedish - he's BEOWULF!

This story is said to be the greatest (and possibly oldest) epic poem written down in the English language - though it's an English we wouldn't recognise today. The Beowulf manuscript is kept at the British Library and you can find out more about it HERE.

WARNING - The monsters in the story are quite scary and the story is a bit creepy and gory. So feel free to check out another episode if you want to.

Part 2 is coming next week so be sure to listen out!

  • Lost Stories - Maui & the Sun
    Feb 7 2026

Hey story lovers! While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while.

Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'.

Our story is from Aotearoa New Zealand and is an old Maori myth. The Maoris are the indigenous people of Aotearoa and you can learn lots about their history and culture HERE.

Maui is a trickster demi-god, and is always up to something. But many of his tales are about how he created and formed Aotearoa. You can read more about Maori history and mythology HERE.

We really want to keep the podcast going, but we can’t do it without your help!!!

  • Episode 10 - The Little Small Wee Tiny Man
    Jan 31 2026

    Hello Story lovers!

This episode, we share a story that Emily used to read to Leo when he was very little. The story is by British author Diana Ross – not the singer - and it appears in a collection for under 5s. And it’s all about someone very very small. You can find it HERE.
