Seven Bloodlines. Three Spirits. One Sacrifice.

Somerset, 1643. As the English Civil War threatens a Royalist refuge, something older than the conflict stirs beneath Witham Grange.

Cecilia Hopton’s sister, Isolde, hears voices in the stones, the spring water, and the roots of an ancient yew. When she willingly answers their call, Cecilia’s desperate love draws seven women into a covenant whose consequences will reach far beyond their own lives.

Soil. Blood. Lost Voice.

The land has answered. But what has it asked in return?

Join two hosts and reader E. L. Ravenheart for the introduction and opening chapter of The Continuance Cycle. Through character dialogue and gothic storytelling, this episode explores the grief, rivalry, and longing behind the Circle’s beginnings.

Episode Description

Welcome to the beginning of E. L. Ravenheart’s eleven-season gothic horror journey.

In this introductory episode, we enter the world of The Circle of Witham Grange, where the haunting legacy of the Continuance Cycle first begins. Set against the violence and uncertainty of the English Civil War in 1643, Witham Grange stands isolated on the Somerset moors, a Royalist refuge surrounded by mist, fear, and approaching conflict.

But the greatest danger does not come from the battlefield.

Beneath the ancient yew tree, something older than war is waking.

This episode introduces the origins of the Circle, the mysterious covenant that binds land, bloodlines, and spirit. At the heart of the story are three powerful forces: Soil, Blood, and Lost Voice. Together, they shape a supernatural inheritance that will echo through generations, across haunted houses, ancient thresholds, forgotten abbeys, and the dark roots of Somerset itself.

As Cecilia Hopton, Katherine Dravelle, and Isolde face grief, siege, and spiritual unrest, the land begins to call. When illness strikes and prayer fails, a desperate act opens the door to something ancient, watchful, and impossible to silence.

This is where the bloodlines begin.

This is where the yew first answers.

This is where the Circle waits.

Perfect for listeners who enjoy gothic horror, haunted landscapes, historical darkness, folklore, ancestral curses, supernatural covenants, and stories where the past refuses to stay buried.

The Continuance Cycle begins here.
