• #157 My business story and why I do things differently
    Feb 16 2026

In this episode, I’m sharing my business story and why I’ve chosen to do things differently.

This is not a story of overnight success or constant growth, it’s more of a story about embracing weirdness and creating a slow, soft life on my own terms.

I talk about starting work very young, burning out in my early twenties, studying while working full-time, and the long, winding path that eventually led me to start my web design business. I share how underpricing, imposter syndrome, teaching, community-building, and eventually a life-altering accident reshaped how I think about work, money, and success.

I also speak about grief, maintenance years, simplifying my life, and why I believe it’s okay for businesses to pause, refine, and deepen rather than always expand.

This episode is an invitation to rethink what success can look like, and to trust that building a business around your real life is not a weakness, but a strength.

  • #156 Creative magic & neurodivergent joy with Sarah Cook
    Feb 9 2026

In this episode of the Kind Business podcast, I’m joined by Sarah Cook, a creative mentor supporting tender-hearted writers and neurodivergent humans to build lives and livelihoods rooted in creativity, self-trust, and care.

We talk about what creativity really is, why it matters so much right now, and how many people have been taught to believe it is something they lack rather than something they live. Sarah shares more about their own business journey, what excites them about supporting others, and how their work has evolved over time.

We also explore collaboration in the age of AI, what kinds of connections feel nourishing and meaningful right now, and the deep magic Sarah sees in neurodivergence. This is a conversation about creativity as a life force, not a productivity tool, and about building work that honours sensitivity, difference, and slowness.

Sarah Teresa Cook (she/they) is an autistic poet and essayist whose work explores perception, creative practice, and identity. As a creative mentor & coach, she works intimately with other writers and neurodivergent folx across genre. Her words have appeared in Rattle, Write or Die, Porterhouse Review, Oregon Humanities Magazine, and in Someone Like Me: An Anthology of Nonfiction by Autistic Writers. Based in the Columbia River Gorge, she publishes For the Birds, a Substack newsletter, and dreams of writing the “Before & After” puzzles for Wheel of Fortune.

  • #154 How to make sure your business meets your needs
    Jan 25 2026

In this solo episode, I’m reflecting on something that feels absolutely foundational to me. The idea that our businesses need to meet our needs, not just financially, but emotionally, physically, creatively, and relationally too.

Whether you’re self employed, freelancing, running a small business, or dreaming of a different way of working, this episode is an invitation to pause and listen more closely to what you actually need right now.

I talk about why financial stability matters, but also why it’s not the whole picture. We explore capacity, values, and the importance of creating enough space in our lives for clarity and creativity to emerge. I share some of the places where I see people, including myself, commonly getting stuck, especially around comparison, visibility, and not fully accounting for privilege or safety needs.

  • #153 Serving the smallest possible audience in the deepest way possible: Why It’s magic in 2026 and beyond
    Jan 16 2026

    Hi friends,

In this episode I’m talking about one of my favorite topics: the quiet magic of serving the smallest possible audience in the deepest way possible. If you’re a sensitive or introverted business owner who feels overwhelmed by marketing and the constant pressure to grow, this one’s for you.

We’ll talk about what it means to let your nervous system relax around the idea of “enough.” I’ll share how you can build intimacy and depth with the people who already care about your work, instead of chasing endless visibility. We’ll look at how conversion can actually be about resonance, how slowness makes your work stronger, and why smaller communities often create the biggest impact over time.

This is a gentle, permission-giving episode that I hope will help you breathe a little easier and remind you that small can be beautiful - and that in 2026 and beyond, depth really is the new growth.

This concludes my 2026 series, which is an invitation to join Rooted, my three months group program starting February 1st: https://pinkwellstudio.com/rooted/

Enrolment closes on January 25th, payment plans and sliding scale options are available!
