When a coach inherits a pretty good program and takes it through a growth journey, they tend to end up being all the better for it. Hinds Community College Men's coach Robert Gardner did just that. He took a quality Hinds program and turned it into an institution of high expectations. Just Google his team’s performances over the past few years, you’ll see a steady rise in winning percentages as well as a consistency of guys going from Hinds to quality programs after their time as an Eagle.
In Episode 4, Coach Gardner discusses the growth mindset he has for his players as well as for himself. We never fully arrive, he says. It's all about continued growth.
Hosted by award winning podcaster Robert Chapman, the Mississippi Soccer Channel was created to help broaden the network of players, coaches, parents and fans across the Magnolia State, shedding light on the quality local programs, competitive club teams, public and private school teams, and collegiate teams that span numerous associations.
