In Episode 243 of the Geeks Unleashed podcast, host Mark and Laurence - review the two-part animated adaptation Watchmen Chapter I & II (2024), directed by Brandon Vietti and written by J. Michael Straczynski. The hosts discuss key details of the films—including their ~2 hour 52 minute total runtime, cell-shaded 3D animation mimicking Dave Gibbons' original comic art, and the faithful inclusion of the Tales of the Black Freighter meta-narrative—before diving into their structured review section covering initial reactions, standout MVPs/weaknesses, re-watchability, and final ratings. Alongside the main review, the episode features pop culture news topics such as a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel, a Manifest spin-off series, and tributes to late cultural icons like Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and Peter Cullen.
