• If God Healed Me, Why Don’t I Feel Normal? A Father’s Faith Journey
    Feb 24 2026

If God healed me, why don’t I feel normal?”

My daughter is 20 years old and has special needs. Yesterday she asked me that question—and it stopped me in my tracks as a dad and as a man of faith.

In this episode, I share an honest conversation about parenting a child with special needs, what healing really means, and how faith intersects with identity, disability, and feeling different. This isn’t a polished teaching—it’s a real reflection from a father learning how to walk with his child instead of trying to fix what was never broken.

If you’re a parent of a child with special needs, someone wrestling with faith and healing, or anyone who’s ever wondered why they don’t feel “normal,” this conversation is for you.

    Topics covered:
    – Parenting a child with special needs
    – Faith and disability
    – What healing really means
    – Identity, worth, and feeling different
    – Being a present father, not a fixer

👇 If this resonates, share it with a parent or someone who needs to hear they’re not alone.

  • Why Willpower Doesn’t Work (And Why Your Habits Keep Repeating)
    Feb 17 2026

In the journey of personal development, most of our lives are not crafted by decisions but by unseen patterns we practice, often unknowingly.

These patterns can leave us feeling stuck, frustrated, and unable to move forward. Have you ever felt like you're trying to think your way out of habits that weren't created by thinking? You might feel more frustrated than when you started, but the solution lies in recognizing these patterns and consciously reshaping them. The Difference Between Knowing and DoingAwareness is a powerful first step, but it's not enough to rewire your brain. You might be aware of habits and still find yourself repeating them. It's about replacing willpower with rewiring—developing new patterns that ease the journey from where you are to where you want to be. Remember, knowing is recognition, and change is retraining. How the Brain Forms HabitsNeurons that fire together wire together, creating a network that grows stronger with repetition. Whether you want to become a morning person or develop any new habit, repetition is key. Yet, repetitions are challenging when results aren't immediate. This common struggle in areas like weight loss or emotional clarity shows why you need to pair repetitive actions with small rewards to maintain motivation. The Importance of Repetition and EmotionRepetition strengthens pathways, but emotion locks them in, solidifying new habits. Attach emotional significance to your actions—whether joyful or sad—to solidify positive changes. By implementing this practice, the transformations you seek can extend into all aspects of your life.Training Your Brain for Positive ChangeYour brain is not failing you; it's doing what it’s trained to do. If you're aware of unproductive patterns, retrain your mind. For instance, if you're conditioned to seek sweets after meals, you can consciously reshape that habit. Changing requires fewer repetitions of old patterns while increasing repetitions of new, positive ones—essentially weakening the undesirable habits.Small Steps for Big ChangesEver start a new venture and feel demotivated by initial setbacks? It's a common cycle: try, criticize yourself, and then feel stuck. But by introducing small reps—such as giving yourself grace or acknowledging progress—you interrupt this cycle. The journey to sustainable change involves small, consistent steps rather than drastic actions.Identifying and Breaking Negative PatternsTo make meaningful progress, identify the pattern or habit you wish to change. This involves acknowledging the existing pattern, then gradually incorporating new habits. For example, if nighttime scrolling is a pattern, plan small steps to interrupt and replace it with positive alternatives. Conclusion: Embrace the JourneyIf life feels repetitive, don't question your worth. Instead, ask what patterns you're unknowingly practicing. At The Breakthrough community, we focus on patterns, identity, faith, and fitness, helping individuals achieve lasting results. • Why It’s Hard to Let Go of Good Seasons (Even When Nothing Went Wrong)
    Jan 22 2026

Some of the hardest chapters to close aren’t painful ones.
They’re the ones that still kind of work.

In this episode, Drew talks about why it’s so difficult to let go of seasons that didn’t fail, didn’t blow up, and didn’t end dramatically — they just stopped being aligned.

    You’ll hear reflections on:

    • Why we don’t know how to grieve finished but faithful seasons

    • How identity often lingers longer than the assignment

    • Why clarity usually comes after space, not before it

    • What to do in the in-between without rushing or panicking

This conversation is for anyone who feels stuck between what was and what’s next — not because something went wrong, but because something quietly ended.

🎧 If this resonates, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to process it alone.

  • Closing Chapters Without Closure: When God Says “It’s Finished” but You’re Still Attached
    Jan 21 2026

Some chapters don’t end because something broke.
    They end because they’re finished.

In this episode, we explore what it really means to close chapters without closure—when God calls you forward but your emotions, identity, or sense of responsibility are still attached to what once worked.

This conversation is for anyone wrestling with letting go without closure, navigating spiritual growth, or feeling the tension between faith and obedience when nothing is technically “wrong.” We talk honestly about identity and seasons, burnout in ministry, and the quiet moments where you’re hearing God’s voice say, “Move on,” even when you don’t fully understand why.

You’ll hear why obedience without understanding is often harder than walking away from something painful, how closure can become a form of control, and why personal growth sometimes requires releasing roles, rhythms, or expectations that once served you well.

This is a faith-based podcast episode for leaders, believers, and anyone navigating emotional detachment, leadership transitions, or that unsettling moment when God says move on—but your heart hasn’t caught up yet.

If this episode resonated with you, you don’t have to process this season alone.

The Breakthrough Community is a space for honest conversations around faith, identity, leadership, and personal growth—especially for those closing old chapters and stepping into new ones without needing to perform or explain themselves.
