  • Am I Becoming Cold?
    Oct 14 2026

Have you ever heard your own response and thought, dang, that was cold? In this episode, Coach Gigi Parker shares a personal and painful moment from a frightening drive with her husband, and asks a better question: what happened before I went quiet?

Together we explore why a whisper can be fear instead of refusal, why a reaction is never the whole story, and what accountability actually requires. Featuring two Gigi-isms worth writing down: "If I have to correct the story before we can address the hurt, we haven't reached accountability yet" and "An apology needs somewhere to go."

Grounded in Ephesians 4:26, plus this week's journal prompt: What happened before I went quiet?

Content note: this episode includes a personal account of frightening driving and conflict in a marriage. Please listen with care. • He Murdered His Neighbor’s Entire Family. Now They Live in the Same Village.
    Oct 6 2026

Would you live in the same small community as the person who murdered your entire family?

During my mission trip to Rwanda, I visited the Reconciliation Village and heard a testimony that left me wrestling with that question: a man who murdered his neighbor’s entire family now lives in the same community as the survivor. How do people begin rebuilding a relationship after harm that profound?

In this episode of Diaries of the Depleted Wife, we explore what that testimony reveals about repentance, forgiveness, and the work of reconciliation. Through Scripture and a mental health perspective, we consider what genuine change looks like, how trust can be rebuilt, and why forgiveness does not automatically mean restoring someone’s access to your life.

This conversation invites us to examine our own relationships without comparing our pain or rushing anyone’s healing. Whether you’re married or single, a woman or a man, there’s room for you here.

Content note: This episode discusses genocide, murder, family loss, and relational hurt.

  • I Can Support You, But I Cannot Heal You: When His Unhealed Wounds Become Her Burden
    Sep 17 2026

What happens when supporting the person you love slowly turns into carrying the healing work they refuse to do?

In this episode of Diaries of the Depleted Wife, Coach Gigi Parker explores the difference between compassion and unhealthy carrying. Through the picture of a wife climbing back through her own thorns to reach her wounded husband, we confront a painful truth: love can offer support, but healing still requires participation.

This conversation makes room for wives, husbands, and singles as we discuss childhood trauma, emotional responsibility, boundaries, accountability, and the exhaustion that comes from managing another adult’s unresolved pain.

Using the FOCUS Healing Framework, you will learn how to:

    • Face what hurts
• Observe the impact
• Connect to safe support
• Unlearn survival patterns
• Step into wholeness

    Today’s Gigiism:

“I can reach for you, but I cannot climb for you.”

Content note: This episode discusses childhood trauma, anger, emotional harm, abuse, and unhealthy relationship patterns. Please listen with care.
