In this episode Dennis discusses Church history and how poor hermeneutics and incorrect biblical interpretation led to a doctrine called Apostolic Succession whereby the Church could insulate itself from false teaching. But in so doing it led to a belief that the Church leaders were infallible, just as inerrant in truth as the Word of God. This claim is neither biblical nor historically accurate.

With recent scandals at Hillsong Church and the Chosen making the news, I wanted to discuss some underlying biblical principles that may apply to these, and similar, issues. Romans 14 deals with "disputable matter" within the Church and if we can apply the teachings of that chapter it will help us deal with how we react to these scandals within churches and Christian organizations.
