• Ep. 4 The Man-O-Sphere
    Dec 26 2022

From pick up artists to lifestyle hackers, the man-o-sphere is full of, not only misinformation, but utterly harmful messaging. Most of the people who offer “manly information”: MRA folks, make me a sandwich jokesters, Jordan Peterson and his ilk are predatory charlatans. They see the struggle of contemporary manhood and they take advantage of the confusion so many men feel.

Incels: Read this for some useful background.

Alpha males: Peep this for how the term got co-opted.

  • Ep. 3 Checking In On Your Strong Friends Isn't Enough
    Dec 20 2022

Do you want to give someone a great holiday gift? Let your "strong" friends know that they don't have to be strong around you. Let them know that you are a soft place for them to rest. No other gift will be as meaningful.

For a whole host of reasons, I am not for trigger/content warnings. But my 14yo told me that talking about self-harm and suicide would, "Be a whole lot for some people. You have to let them know." Please consider this your content warning.

If you are having suicidal thoughts, dial “988”

  • Ep. 2 The Oldness
    Dec 13 2022

So many men age themselves out of the game. They refuse to do things they want to do because they feel as if they're 'too old'. It's not only ridiculous, but it is a form of (mental) self-harm. Granted, your body shifts and changes as you get older, but you don't have to shuffle creaky into that dark night.

You can get older, without becoming old. You can be youthful, without being young.

  • Ep1. Therapy
    Dec 5 2022

So many men I talk to, especially from my generation, are terrified of therapy. I'm here to tell you that if you don't go to therapy, you're probably doing yourself,  those you love, and those who love you, a disservice. Going to therapy isn't a sign of weakness. It's proof that you're strong enough to want to be better.
