  • Lucy Bowden - Changing The Field Of Fishing
    Jul 1 2025

Today, we're joined by Lucy Bowden, founder of Fishing For Everyone and a true pioneer in the world of angling.

Back in 2005, Lucy launched her business when there were barely any female anglers in the UK. Tired of being the only woman on the bank, she set out to inspire others—connecting with female anglers worldwide, including April Vokey, and sharing her journey to make fishing more accessible for women.

From running an online shop selling stylish outdoor gear for women, to having an enterprise award named after her at her former school, Lucy's impact runs deep. She's worked for leading country brands including Hardy & Greys, Orvis, Barbour, and now Farlows, while also founding the Ladies Fishing Club and becoming the youngest qualified female angling coach in the UK.

Lucy's work has taken her across the globe—from New Zealand to the USA—and landed her features on national TV, radio, and major publications like Country Life, The Lady, and Fly Culture.

She even met her husband—a double world fly fishing champion—while doing the job she loves.

🎧 Tune in for a powerful episode on passion, purpose, and changing the face of fishing.

  • Mens Mental health week - with the MR's
    Jun 10 2025

Welcome to a very special episode of Females in Their Field. This week marks Men's Mental Health Week, and today we're turning the mic around. We're speaking to the incredible men in our lives – the ones behind the scenes, the quiet supporters, the fathers, partners, brothers, and friends.

Because while this space often centres on women's voices and experiences, we know that creating healthier families, communities, and workplaces means opening up space for men's stories too. And today, we're doing just that.

We're not here for clichés or surface chat. We're going deep to talk about pressure, purpose, vulnerability, and how men are navigating their own mental health in a world that doesn't always make it easy to speak up.
