• Special Episode - Nina’s Story & Minding Your Heart at Christmas
    Dec 8 2025

In this special episode, I’m joined by Nina, who shares the story of her twins, Liam and Grace; her two beautiful babies who she carries in her heart every single day.
We talk about the moments she had with them, the incredible care she received, and the small gestures of compassion that meant everything.

Because of the time of year, we also talk openly about how incredibly hard Christmas can be for anyone who has experienced pregnancy or baby loss, or who hoped to have children and don’t.
We share gentle ways to mind yourself, protect your heart, and do Christmas in whatever way feels right for you.

Nina also shares the work she does with Féileacáin and how she became involved in helping other bereaved parents.

Please take care as you listen, as this episode includes discussion of pregnancy and baby loss.

💛 As always, if you’ve been impacted by any kind of pregnancy loss, please know you are not alone.

  • Episode 20 - The Second Miscarriage: It happened again!
    Nov 24 2025

In this episode, I share the next chapter of our story.

I talk through the weeks after our first miscarriage, getting pregnant again, and then finding ourselves heartbroken allover again just a few months later.

I go into the fear, the medical trauma, the loneliness of going through all of this during COVID, and the months of trying to conceive that followed; months that felt relentless, confusing, and all consuming.

I also talk about the grief I didn’t realise was grief at the time, share the things I didn’t understand, and the things I only see clearly now, looking back.

If you’re going through anything similar, I hope this episode helps you feel seen, even just a little.
    You are not alone.

    Your feelings are valid.

    Your grief is valid.

And you deserve support and compassion every step of the way.

Please note: There are mentions of fertility struggles, pregnancy, and loss so do listen gently and take care of yourself as needed.

  • Episode 17 - Laura's Story
    Sep 22 2025
In this episode, I’m joined by Laura from Ectopic Pregnancy Ireland.Laura shares her own experience of ectopic pregnancy, a journey that involved emergency surgery, heartbreaking loss, and the struggle with grief and mental health that followed, made even harder by the lack of information and support available to help her cope with the aftermath. She also speaks about the miscarriage she went through before welcoming her little boy, Tadhg, in 2024.Alongside her personal story, we talk about the important work she’s doing with Ectopic Pregnancy Ireland, from raising awareness to helping create a new patient information booklet with the Pregnancy Loss Research Group at UCC, which is now being shared in maternity hospitals across the country.Laura also speaks about the academic paper Stories of Loss, which she co-authored with a group of clinicians, researchers, and fellow advocates to ensure patient voices are included in medical spaces where they are so often missing. This conversation is about loss, resilience, and the power of turning pain into change, so that no one has to face ectopic pregnancy without the information and support they need. This episode is an honest and important listen, and I’m so grateful to Laura for sharing her story with us.💛 As always, if you’ve been impacted by any kind of pregnancy loss, please know you are not alone. She shares so honestly about the grief, loneliness, and isolation that followed, and the lasting impact it’s had on her. As a healthcare professional herself, Ana also reflects on the gaps in compassionate care for those experiencing pregnancy loss.

This episode discusses ectopic pregnancy, surgery, and loss in detail, so please take care as you listen.
