• Failing vs Job (The After Conversation)

    After the last episode (Failing: Part 2) the discussion quickly picked back up and got heated.  The panel continued on with their discussion on failing and how it can affect your ability to get a job.  The also discussed that if going to college or even getting a high school diploma is necessary for certain jobs.  Some of the discussion references celebrities dropping out or not going college with even singers going on tour at early ages.

    A couple of episodes earlier the panel took on bullying in school.  This time they are talking about bullying through social media.  The panel decided to create this episode after a school assembly where a parent called out students for allegedly bullying other students because of an Instagram account that collects pictures of students sleeping during class.  This fired up the panel as it bullying or calling out other students for inappropriate behavior in the classroom.

  • Backpacks in the Classroom

    In some schools backpacks are not allowed in the classrooms.  Is it because schools are afraid that students are going to bring in weapons, drugs, alcohol or other items into the school.  However the students are allowed to bring them into the school but must keep them in their lockers.  Thus it must be a room issue in the classroom.  However they were allowed during covid.  We sit down on this episode of Flushing Out to discuss backpacks in the classroom.
