In this lively June highlights episode, RJ takes listeners through a month packed with firsts, fun, and unforgettable moments. From his first-ever overnight camping trip — complete with fox sightings, late‑night “Would You Rather” games, and a dramatic slip in the rain — to celebrating his eighth birthday, RJ shares his experiences with the honesty and humour listeners love. As he puts it, “It was an exciting time…but I literally started crying when I picked you up”.

Mama reflects on her own nerves about the camping adventure, while RJ explains why pizza was scarier than wildlife and why he’s already eager to go again. The birthday recap is full of joy (and tonsillitis), new Jordans, generous gifts, and RJ’s milestone moment: receiving his first debit card. “This was actually really exciting to me because I’ve never gotten a debit card before… it was just a good milestone for me”.

The episode wraps with RJ’s trademark commentary — from holiday plans to World Cup opinions to his favourite songs — giving listeners the wonderfully unfiltered RJ perspective they’ve come to expect.

Warm, funny, and full of real‑life family moments, this episode captures the heart of RJ and Mama: Views of the World: curiosity, connection, and the joy of seeing life through a child’s eyes.
