    Sep 3 2026
In this remastered episode from 2018, Beth and Wendy discuss Timothy Wilson Spencer, the “Southside Strangler,” who raped and murdered four women during an 11-week killing spree in Virginia in 1987. Even more disturbing? Most of the murders happened while Spencer was living in a halfway house, striking on weekends when he was signed out. Spencer never confessed, and investigators had little evidence tying him to the crimes until a groundbreaking new technology changed everything. DNA from the crime scenes matched Spencer, making him the first serial killer in the U.S. convicted using DNA evidence.
