  • Episode 36 - Training More with GGSC Coaches Elspeth and Charlotte
    Nov 28 2024

In the latest episode of the GGSC podcast Elspeth your host is joined by GGSC cycling and triathlon coach Charlotte. They will be discussing ways that we can train in high volume. This means increasing the amount of hours of training a week. We would say high volume would be anything from 12 hours a week plus of training.

They will be sharing their years of coaching knowledge on problems encountered with excessive training, how we can benefit from training more, why it's important to train smart and how we need to learn to listen to our bodies.

  • Episode 35 - Staying strong in and out at any age with Jackie
    Oct 18 2024

Elspeth, your host will be joined by Jackie. We know Jackie, as she has been coached by GGSC Coach Rachel for the past 2 and a half years. In that time Jackie has learned a lot about herself and how to train and fuel properly, whilst performing better in the events she enters. Jackie is approaching 60 year old next year and has remarkable strength on the bike. She attended a GGSC advanced Level camp this year and was one of the strongest women in the group. She is a great example to help inspire us that we can be strong women cyclists at any age.

Jackie will share with is what she loves about cycling, how she progressed in her passion by learning more about herself and the friendships she has made throughout her journey.

  • Episode 34 - Adventures with Endurance Junkie Abi
    Oct 3 2024

On this show Elspeth will be joined by Abi. We know Abi, as she is one of the first women who came to GGSC for our online coaching back in 2020. Abi has always been an endurance junkie, by setting herself big challenges, like bike packing around the UK, everesting up her local hill, completing Ironman distance triathlons and the biggest yet North Cape 4000, a self supported event from Italy to the North Cape, where she rode self supported for over 4000km. This all started a few years ago when she thought she would give RIDE London a go. Abi shares with us what motivated her, why she loves time on the bike and how she practically takes on such events.
