After a long hiatus, we are finally back — and this is a good one. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jeff Stein, founder of Stein Golf Design. Jeff has had quite the journey in the golf world, taking him all over the world to New Zealand, Uruguay, and more wild and interesting places in pursuit of his dream of becoming a golf course architect.

We touch on his journey in golf, but also discuss his design philosophy and specifically the work he did at Great Dunes, one of the most popular new courses of 2026.
