• Why I Think You Should Add Podcasting To Your Content Strategy
    Mar 31 2023
Hey friends, last week’s episode about podcasting and YouTube’s new feature was so good I decided to keep the party going. I got quite of bit of you that reached out after watching the replay about how to start your own show or you have a show and it’s not doing what you want it to do for your business, so I decided to keep the conversation going and really dive into what I would tell a client that is thinking about getting started and why I think you should add podcasting to your content strategy. Tune in and let’s chat about what you need to be thinking as it relates to starting or getting your underperforming show off the ground. I can’t wait to hear what you think Who should start a podcast? Anyone business owner that has the ability to teach or train to concepts that their audience would find helpful in their buying journey Why I would recommend you start a podcast for your business If your business requires a lot of education from your consumers to help them make a purchasing decision a podcast is a great way to go you can use your podcast to Answer frequently asked questions Teach about the importance of an idea or topic to help your customers get prepared for your service Establish yourself as a trusted industry expert that can be trusted A place to share your unfiltered thoughts and opinions in an environment that you control When should you start a podcast You can start a podcast as soon or as late as you choose Podcasts are great value ads to already existing services Podcasts can be great for establishing yourself as an industry expert and exploding your business What should you have in place before you get started A solid offer – Your offer should be clear and concise and easy to get to. Here’s the link to the training —>> https://kaewhitaker.com/courses <<<— How do you get started? You need hosting for your show Podcasts are syndicated across popular platforms like Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeart Radio etc… in order to show up to these places you need a hosting provider. I like to host my shows directly on my WordPress website using a tool called Bluburry (you can get access to your own Blubrry podcasting account here or if you visit the site use the code “kaewshow” to get your first month free) because it allows me to publish my show and my blog all in one spot and handles my heavy lifting for me. With a little preparation, I can have my show up and out to the world within a matter of minutes and will have fulfilled a couple of content creation objectives in one swoop. I’ll be demonstrating how to get this done in more detail in the Kae Club, don’t forget you can sign up here —>>> https://learn.kaewhitaker.com/products/communities/the-kae-club You need a microphone (Download the Online Business Toolkit) Link to the Toolkit —>>> https://kaewhitaker.com/courses/toolkit/ You need a recording device (Download the Online Business Toolkit) You need to have a content plan (Join the Kae Club we’ll start training on this the week of April 10th https://learn.kaewhitaker.com/products/communities/the-kae-club

  • Intro to Affiliate Marketing
    Jul 5 2022

Today on the podcast, I gave some insight and an intro to affiliate marketing and how I think you can practice affiliate marketing to best help your business.

    Here are a few takeaways:

What is Affiliate Marketing   Referral-based marketing is where you get paid a commission when referring someone else’s product or service. It’s one of the easiest ways to quickly start earning an income by using the internet without having to spend massive amounts of time and money creating and managing your own product.     Why choose affiliate marketing   You would choose affiliate marketing for a few reasons.
    1. You’re just getting started and don’t have a product of your own
    2. You love sharing your experiences with others, so to tell a friend about a product would be no big deal for you
    3. You have an already existing business, and it’s a product that you love and want your already existing audience to love as well
What do you need to get started as an affiliate marketer   You can get started in a few ways, but I’ll quickly explain what worked and still works for us.
    1. A platform to share on
    2. An understanding of how to share links on that platform
Best Practices as an Affiliate Marketer
    1. Don’t be spammy and recommend staff you don’t really like
    2. Be sure to choose products that you align with – do a little research and make sure if you align yourself with that brand that you feel comfortable standing beside them
    3. Find ways to naturally weave the products or services into already existing stories that you’re telling online

    Action to stay connected:

    1. Join the Facebook Group
    2. Subscribe to the NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL
    3. Share with a Friend

  • Episode 36: My Content Strategy for the Rest of 2022
    Jun 24 2022

Heyyyy friend!  Welcome back to the show!  In today’s episode, I discuss my content strategy for the rest of 2022.

I know it’s been a while since we last chatted, but we’re just going to pick up where we left off and keep this party going.

Excited as always to spend a little time with you and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

My Content Strategy Right Now Documentation is the name of the game for me right now. Documenting processes, experiences, relations, etc, and then sharing them with my audience.   This documentation process then turns into teaching moments as I’m sharing my experiences so the person watching or listening can make better-informed decisions about the direction they want to head on their own journies.   It’s not necessarily about what’s right or wrong, as much as it is, this was my experience, this is what I like/dislike, this is what I learned and this is what I might do differently if I had to do it all over again.   That’s where the community happens and the freedom happens for those that are following and I absolutely love it!   Where I’m creating right now
    • YouTube – My lifestyle channel that’s been primarily dedicated to my house – I love this process of decorating and making updates to my home and documenting the process. I’ve been able to close some really nice brand deals as a result as well and I love it
    • Instagram – Always my rid or die, Family and Lifestyle Content
    • TikTok – Tim and I, House stuff funny content when I feel like cutting up
    • Facebook – Group for the podcast and Live streaming the show

    Social Media Goals

Build a Highly Active Community of Business Women in Their Mid-30s and Up to Actively Pursue the Freedom They Were Taught Wasn’t Possible   Monetary Goals
    • To Support my Group Coaching Program
    • To Book More Lifestyle Campaigns
    • To create multiple six figures living a true laptop lifestyle where I can work from anywhere for real real
Question of the Episode   Which platform do you want me to start documenting first?   How to Answer   Head over to the HER360 FB Group, I’ll link it in the show notes and join if you haven’t already, from there will be a poll in the group, and cast your vote there. I’ll check the results of the poll on Sunday and start the process from there from the most popular choice.

  • Episode 29: Phase I of My Content Planning Process – Research
    Oct 15 2021

Hey friends, hey, welcome to another episode of HER 360. In today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about phase I of my content planning process which is all about research, research, research!

In this episode, I break down the process I’ve been using to research high-quality content ideas to help me create longer-form content that can then be repurposed over my entire online medium.

I have to say that this is probably the most important part of my process, and if I can be completely honest the part that takes the longest to execute, but when I follow this process to a T, I find myself with a much higher quality piece of content that tends to serve my business goals for months on end, and that’s what I hope for you to accomplish.

If you’ve got questions about today’s episode please leave them below in the comments.

My team and I will collect them and prepare an answer for them during one of our upcoming Instagram lives scheduled to begin in late October, early November.

    SHOW OUTLINE

    CONTENT RESEARCH PLAN

In order to create a solid piece of cornerstone content we have to do the research BEFORE we begin to create to ensure 3 valuable ideas

    1. Are people looking for it
    2. How Will You Monetize It
    3. What keywords need to be in place to ensure it’s found in search queries.

Oftentimes, we aren’t successful in our content strategies because we don’t plan ahead to ensure we understand where all roads lead that way we know what to measure as a result of our efforts.

In today’s episode, we cover how to plan and how to get the necessary research done to ensure your success.

  • Episode 28: My 6 Step Process to Updating My Content Marketing Strategy
    Sep 24 2021

Hey friends, hey, welcome to another episode of HER 360. In today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about My 6 Step Process to Updating My Content Marketing Strategy and I can not wait to hear what you’ve got to say.

This episode felt really good to record and I’m excited to continue to help you in the upcoming episodes refine your marketing strategies online and get to the revenue you’re trying to make.

If you’ve got questions about today’s episode please leave them below in the comments.

My team and I will collect them and prepare an answer for them during one of our upcoming Instagram lives scheduled to begin in late October.

    SHOW OUTLINE

    EVALUATING MY STRATEGY
    1. Looked at What I Am Good At and What I’m Willing to Do
    2. What will require my time versus what I can offload to someone else
    3. Which platforms am I going to focus on
    4. When will I create my content
    5. How am I going to make money around my content
    6. What are my KPIs and how often will I measure them
    WHAT I LANDED ON
    1. Pre Recorded Video on YouTube for the Lifestyle Brand & Podcast Audio for the Marketing Business is going to be my focus
    2. I will spend a max of 2 hours a week pre-recording video and audio content then pass off the distribution to my assistant, I’ll also dedicate about an hour and a half a week getting with my family to create fun and entertaining Reels for Instagram
      1. Our distribution will consist of small video clips from what we record on YouTube to be distributed on Instagram and surrounded by family friend Reels
      2. Our Podcast will serve as audio content for podcast networks but will also serve as our weekly business blog post because that’s where it’s hosted so it’s killing two birds with 1 stone
        1. We’ll distribute the podcast in a similar fashion to our YouTube videos taking 2-3 audio clips and making reels out of them with me demonstrating what I’m talking about
      3. I’ve got time-slotted out on Tuesdays for my Pre Recordings so I don’t conduct any client meetings on those days
      4. We’ll monetize in a similar fashion as we’ve been doing by brand partnerships and campaigns as well as self-paced courses for marketing clients to take and apply on their own or train their teams
      5. My KPI’s will be views and downloads as well as the number of conversions I’m getting in course sales and measuring the traffic sources in my analytics accounts, more on that to come
