    We’re back in the new studio, and this week Herm actually followed the show notes in order. (Kristin would like it noted that this is a first — and that he still managed to skip Herm’s Football Minute.)Herm’s been training for the Hero Walk and his body has filed a formal complaint: everything is fine… except from the neck down. Between the four-mile training walk, three innings as a Diamondback that somehow hurt for four days, and Kristin’s knee blowing up to the size of a grapefruit after a 30-minute walk, the Hermosillo athletic department is not doing great.Then it’s Sweet Sixteen time. Herm and Kristin were the Ninos — the godparents — for their goddaughter Bella, which is how Herm ended up playing Lumière from Beauty and the Beast in the court dance, singing out loud and twirling around the room with candlesticks made from Cricut vinyl rolls. (Not paper towel rolls. The vinyl rolls are sturdier. Words are hard.) His flame fell off, he blew out his own candle, and all four boys — three teenagers and a seven-year-old in full suits — had to be kept serious in church. It did not go well. Somewhere in that empty church, on a wooden pew, a fart echoed… and by the end of rehearsal, even the priest was asking about the football score.Speaking of football: the playoff game got moved UP two weeks. The Vail Vikings now face the #1 seed in the entire town this Saturday, October 17, they’ll be missing one of their biggest players, and they’ve been practicing almost every day. A true underdog story. Disney, call us.We also learn how fantasy football ruined Kristin’s ability to enjoy football — she let ChatGPT draft her team, she’s 1-4, and there IS a punishment for whoever finishes last — and Herm tells the story of the very first rule of dating him: you have to like his teams. The helmets have been handed back out, practice is back on, and Gordy has no say in the matter.Then Herm shares what might be the greatest work weekend of his life. Through his job at Waste Management — an MLB partner — Herm got selected for a baseball fantasy camp and spent the day as an Arizona Diamondback: full uniform, his own #13 jersey (Gordy’s number), his own walk-up song, the actual voice of the Diamondbacks announcing his name, and the biggest fan section in the park. And yes… the very first ball hit his way? He dropped it. In front of everyone. Right after Gordy warned him, “You better do good.” (He caught the next two.
