About this listen

Welcome to the Hope and Help for Fatigue and Chronic Illness Podcast. It's our mission to help people that have some really complicated illnesses. People that have post viral syndrome like long COVID and ME/CFS or chronic fatigue. Those that have had toxic exposures like gulf war illness, mold exposures, pesticides and heavy metals. These illnesses can present very similarly, they can actually look the same to your clinician. You may have fatigue, post exertional malaise, foggy brain and many other symptoms that seem to be common across many illnesses. Underneath all of these illnesses, the causes of the symptoms are very similar. We know first hand how hard it is to get access to meaningful information and care when you find yourself or a loved one here. It is our hope to give you, bit by bit, the knowledge and ideas that we have seen make a positive impact on individuals just like you. And that you will take all those threads and begin to weave back together a healthier person. Brought to you by the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine where we have over 200 years of combined clinical experience in Neuro-Inflammatory disease.2024 Alternative & Complementary Medicine Hygiene & Healthy Living Physical Illness & Disease

Together, they examine the clinical science behind mycotoxin illness — how mold-derived toxins enter the body, why they are frequently missed or misdiagnosed, and how they may be driving some of the most prevalent and poorly understood chronic conditions of our time. Dr. Campbell shares the evidence base connecting mycotoxins to neurological diseases including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, ALS, and Parkinson's disease, as well as autoimmune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, autism, and reproductive health conditions. He explains the critical difference between urine and serum mycotoxin testing, clarifies what IgG and IgE antibodies actually indicate about current versus past exposure, and outlines a clinically validated approach to diagnosis and treatment through My Myco Lab. He also addresses environmental sources of mycotoxin exposure, the first rule of toxicology in clinical practice, and why accurate testing is the foundation of any meaningful recovery pathway. Dr. Andrew Campbell is a Medical Clinician, Director, Officer, Advisor, and Medical Consultant, also Editor-in-Chief of several journals and research studies, and was recently selected as Top Medical Consultant of the Year for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the healthcare profession. With over 45 years of professional experience as a renowned Medical Clinician, Dr. Campbell has certainly proven himself as an expert in the field of integrative health and traditional medicine. Dr. Campbell is a dynamic, results-driven leader who has demonstrated success by treating the most complex patients and having extensive experience with testing for molds and mycotoxins from environmental and toxic exposures. He is fluent in Arabic, Hungarian, French, Spanish and English. Apr 7 2026
Support the Institute today. https://givenow.nova.edu/the-institute-for-neuro-immune-medicine-inim-2025 In this episode, Haylie Pomroy sits down with Dr. Angela Taylor to break down the labs that truly matter when it comes to understanding your health. Many patients are told their labs are "normal," yet continue to experience fatigue, weight changes, thyroid symptoms, and chronic health issues. This conversation explores why standard testing may fall short—and how a more comprehensive, functional approach can provide real answers. Together, they dive into thyroid panels beyond TSH, the importance of intracellular nutrient testing, and how imbalances in zinc, copper, iron, and key vitamins can impact metabolism and overall wellness. They also discuss how infections, vitamin D levels, and environmental factors can influence lab markers—and why advocating for the right tests is essential. If you've ever felt like your labs don't match how you feel, this episode of the Hope and Help For Fatigue and Chronic Illness podcast will give you the tools to better understand your body and take control of your health. Dr. Angela Taylor is a doctor of clinical nutrition and board-certified in both clinical nutrition and functional medicine.
