What started as two Arsenal fans sitting down to record a podcast became something neither expected.
In Episode 5 of Global Gooners, Johnny speaks with Martijn from Arsenal Netherlands about the remarkable growth of the Dutch Arsenal community from the ArseNL Podcast and a rapidly growing WhatsApp group to hundreds of supporters coming together and the creation of an officially recognised Arsenal Supporters' Club.
They discuss the influence of Dennis Bergkamp and Arsenal's Dutch connection, supporting the club through the difficult years, the incredible turnout for the Champions League final, and the special feeling of helping a supporter experience the Emirates for the first time.
It's a story about loyalty, shared frustration, friendship and what can happen when you give supporters somewhere to come together.
Different cities. Different cultures. Different stories. Same Arsenal.
