Welcome to One Single Story! Pastor Stephen Mizell, Pastor Jay Rivenbark, and Pastor Sheryl Daughety open today's One Year Bible reading in Psalm 83 and discuss the sovereignty and supreme name of God. How do we help people who feel God is silent in their struggles? How do we find confidence when opposition rises? And how do we keep our prayers focused on God's glory instead of personal revenge?

Scripture Focus: Psalm 83:1 -18 - A cry from Asaph as a coalition of hostile nations conspires to wipe out God's people. The psalmist asks God not to remain silent, calls God's people his "precious" and "sheltered" ones, and prays that even enemies would come to know that Yahweh alone is Most High.

In This Episode:

• The sovereignty of God and the meaning of "do not remain silent"
• How evil organizes, grows, and is never satisfied
• Why God's people remain precious and sheltered, even when culture is destructive
• How to pastor believers who feel God is silent in their personal or cultural battles
• Remembering God's past faithfulness, including prayers that went unanswered but proved to be a blessing
• Praying Scripture and sharing personal testimonies to strengthen others
• Confidence in knowing that an attack on God's people is an attack on God, as seen in Acts 9
• God's promises in Jeremiah 29, Romans 8, Deuteronomy, and more
• Keeping prayers focused on God's glory rather than personal revenge
• Why carnal retaliation brings temporary relief but long-term consequences

Key Quote: "Our human emotion interprets divine silence as abandonment." Scripture reminds us that silence is not absence.
