One jar of wine jelly helped launch a business that now gives Arizona makers a place to shine.

Birdman visits d'Vine Gourmet in downtown Chandler to meet owner Denise McCreery and hear how a small food business became what he calls "shop local in a store."

From handmade caramels and savory snacks to gift baskets, wine, and locally crafted treasures, Denise shares the thinking behind a shop she says carries more than 150 Arizona vendors. Discover how she chooses products, why she buys directly from makers, and how her shelves give emerging entrepreneurs a chance to introduce their work to customers.

The conversation also takes a seat in the bottle shop and wine lounge, where the historic downtown Colonnade offers a place to unwind, visit with friends, and watch Chandler go by. And those towering ostriches? Denise shares the story behind the artwork the business helps care for—and her commitment to preserving downtown's character.

Listen, then stop by and tell Denise Birdman sent you. Whether you're choosing a gift or exploring your own neighborhood, there's a local story waiting on the shelf.

What happens when working harder still leaves you feeling like you're not doing enough?

For Brenda Williams, a demanding career in special education led to a personal search for change—and eventually a new direction helping others explore their own confidence.

Birdman sits down with the founder of Awaken Hypnosis at SoZo Coffeehouse in Chandler to hear the story behind her business. Brenda shares her experience with hypnosis, how her background as an educator shapes her approach, and what inspired her transition from teaching to running her practice full time.

Curious about hypnosis beyond the stage show? Brenda explains her approach to motivational coaching, what her virtual sessions involve, and why she focuses on the fears and self-doubt people describe when they feel stuck. She also discusses common misconceptions about hypnosis and her perspective on the client's role in the process.

It's a conversation about changing direction, getting to know the person behind a local business, and finding the courage to try something new.

Listen, then join the conversation: Have you ever changed careers because a personal experience gave you a new sense of purpose? Share your story with Birdman.
