Are Genius Act yield restrictions irrelevant?. The Controller of the Currency (OCC) finalized the Genius Act regulation last week. The big news was a less rigid yield restriction. Instead of a blanket ban, the COC will review rewards models on a case-by-case basis. This was widely seen to benefit the Circle/Coinbase partnership, although any approvals likely release a flood of litigation.
