I know this is a little late, but me coming to the party was a little late too! LOL. Today, Mellony takes the wheel to tell a little bit of her story about how she came to where she is today. The journey of being a human has many points where we have to determine who we really are. Some people never have to question their gender. That's convenient for many people, but, those that do, it can make life a little more difficult. There are a ton of resources out there for those in the Gender / Sexual expansive community, but non are better than those who are out there in our every day lives who "see" us for who we are and accept that without question. I have a shout out to many of my friends and family who have accepted me and others in my community. Also, a major shout out to the kids at my school - if you are listening, you know who you are! The community of teachers and students who have welcomed me as Mellony has made the transition something that could have been so much harder, but became one of my most treasured safe spaces!
