UNIVERSAL SOLDIER (1992). Jean-Claude Van Damme versus Dolph Lundgren. Two dead soldiers. One program. Thirty-four years on, the question is: does it hold up? Because, Science.

Matt and Malcolm dig into Universal Soldier for Get To The Chedda!: Roland Emmerich's first big swing, the Carolco sci-fi that put Van Damme and Lundgren in the same frame, and the film that built the UniSol before the sequels diluted it. Jean-Claude Van Damme as Luc Deveraux. Dolph Lundgren as Sergeant Andrew Scott. Ally Walker as Veronica Roberts. Jerry Orbach as Dr. Christopher Gregor. Ed O'Ross as Colonel Perry. Vietnam ends in a mutual kill. Decades later both men come back as reanimated soldiers who overheat, remember the wrong war, and turn on the program that owns them. How do dead men walk, fight, and forget their own names? Because, Science.

We track the 1969 village, the cryo vault, the motel ice bath, the gas station trap, Scott's return to Vietnam in his own head, and the desert endgame between GR44 and GR13. Carolco and Centropolis, Christopher Franke's score, the $23 million that became a worldwide hit, and every time the film explains a corpse with a circuit board. Because, Science. Then the verdict every Get To The Chedda! has to deliver: what Chedda Rating does Universal Soldier earn in 2026?
