Shayan and Adam talk primal wiring, modern convenience, and why life is built on friction.

In this episode the two cover why music and rhythm feel ancient, how separating yourself from nature creates problems, the real cost of supermarket convenience, and why doing hard things (cold plunges included) builds mental strength. They also get practical: start with three training days a week, get your protein and steps in, use a coach if you want to save years, and surround yourself with people who make you stronger instead of draining you.

Erika Osterhout joins Iblis Manifestations to talk Nephasto, Scolex, Cthonic Deity, and starting death metal later than everyone told her she could.

In this episode, Erika breaks down the Nephasto EP with Luana Dametto of Crypta. remote writing, one rehearsal, then tracking in Philly, and why a full length only happens if they can play the songs together first. She also covers growing up in Southern California, moving to Oakland, being told she was too uncoordinated to play, learning bass from Sean McGrath, first vocals on the Scolex mini LP, and writing Cthonic Deity lyrics from horror films, notebooks, and even the artwork.

Nile guitarist Zach Jeter joins Iblis Manifestations from the middle of writing the next album.

In this episode, Zach talks pre-production at Karl Sanders’ studio, the chemistry of stacking riffs, and why Annihilation of the Wicked and Those Whom the Gods Detest are still the reference points.

They get into what it actually takes to stay in a touring death metal band - merch as income, one-off shows that don’t pay, visas, sacrifice - and how Zach balances Nile with three kids at home. Also: discovering Nile in Iran, writing “Nile songs” after joining, and why the music still comes before the image.
