    “Men of multifaceted ingenuity”: this is how Primo Levi describes the crew of Castoro Six, Saipem’s semi-submersible vessel that built the Transmed gas pipeline in the 1980s. This same ingenuity also made other major projects in the gas sector possible, such as BlueStream, a strategic infrastructure that reaches record depths, and Nord Stream, at the time the longest gas line in the world.
