God has so much in store for us that He has given Himself for us in the form of Jesus and now, as the Church, God has given Himself to us in the form of the Holy Spirit. Would we learn and grow in the mystery of the Trinity- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit- and would we allow God's Spirit to move within us to make us the Church as we should be.

As the people of the Church, our focus should not be on the inside of the walls of our buildings. It should be focused on those that are lost in our personal world circles. If we want to be an effective church then we must learn about God's story, develop our own story, and listen to the stories of others.

If we claim to be a follower of Jesus, a Christian, we have a story to tell. It is our duty to be a witness to the world. 

Jesus commands us to share our story. Jesus calls us to shine our light...for His glory.

Our commitment to the local church is to faithfully participant in the life and ministries of the local church through my service toward others.

How should we treat the local church in our culture today?

Should we listen to the voice of the world or to the voice of Christ?

Gifts are curious right? What gifts do you possess that could be used for the Kingdom of God? Even sharing cookies is a moment for Christ to shine.

Where we are physically on Sunday is important. If Jesus' life, death, and resurrection are as important as we say they are then our actions should back that up.

We are called to faithfully pray for our church and the members. But what does that look like? How can that happen? What is prayer? What do I do if I don't know how to pray?

Often times, people become members of the local church without understanding or realizing what they have committed to. Prayer is absolutely important to the life of the local church as well as the universal Church.

As a member of a local church I am committed to faithfully participate in the life and ministries of the local church through my prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.

What does that really mean?
